The China Aerospace Museum is affiliated to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is located in the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology. It was completed and opened in October 1992. With an exhibition area of more than 10,000 square meters, it is currently a relatively large aerospace science and technology exhibition hall in Asia. Here records the historical changes of China’s aerospace.
In the exhibition hall, through detailed graphic and textual historical materials, rich collection exhibits, and modern interactive equipment, the glorious course of China’s aerospace industry is reproduced. At present, the physical exhibits in the collection mainly include Dongfanghong-1 satellite (backup satellite), Long March series launch vehicles, recoverable cabins of return satellites, the return module of Shenzhou-4 spacecraft and the main parachute of the return module, rocket engines, etc. The China Aerospace Museum gives full play to its social functions. It has always taken popularizing aerospace knowledge, inheriting aerospace culture, and carrying forward the aerospace spirit as its own responsibility, and has built a platform for exchanges and learning for aerospace enthusiasts. The opening hours are as follows: closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; open from 09:00 to 16:30 on Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year; closed all day on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.China Aerospace Museum
