China Agricultural University Gymnasium, nestled within the East Campus of China Agricultural University, played a significant role during the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games by hosting wrestling and sitting volleyball matches. Officially opened on September 15, 2005, the main competition hall boasts a portal steel frame structure, which not only provides a visually striking and staggered appearance but also maximizes the use of the roof’s shape for excellent natural lighting and ventilation. This innovative and understated design perfectly embodies the ‘Green Olympics’ concept.
As a large indoor sports venue, the Gymnasium was thoughtfully designed with post-event utilization in mind. Post-Olympics, it will continue to serve as a comprehensive indoor sports venue, capable of hosting a variety of regular sports events such as badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, fitness, volleyball, basketball, handball, and indoor soccer. The venue is open to both students and citizens, and it will also function as a training base for national teams.
The Gymnasium’s opening hours are Monday through Wednesday, and Saturday through Sunday, from 07:00 to 22:00, all year round.
