The China Aviation Museum is a large aviation museum. It houses more than 200 aircraft of over 100 types, as well as more than 700 weapon equipment samples such as surface-to-air missiles, air defense radars, anti-aircraft guns, and aviation cameras. It is a must-visit place for aviation and aerospace enthusiasts. The museum is divided into three parts: the comprehensive exhibition hall, the cave exhibition hall, and the outdoor exhibition hall.
The outdoor exhibition hall mainly displays various aircraft made by countries around the world and other excellent aircraft. There are exhibitions such as the ‘Engine Series Exhibition’, ‘Treasure Exhibition’, ‘Aviation Photographic Equipment Exhibition’, and ‘Life-Saving and Protective Equipment Exhibition’ in the museum. There are more than 200 aircraft of over 100 types in total, as well as more than 600 aviation exhibits including surface-to-air missiles and radars, among which there are many excellent ones. The comprehensive exhibition hall is divided into three exhibition rooms. The first exhibition room displays various remote-controlled aircraft models and simulation aircraft models made by the aviation museum itself. The second exhibition room displays precious gifts presented to China by various countries. The third exhibition room displays exquisite military emblems and unit emblems presented to the People’s Air Force by foreign military delegations. The exhibits in the cave exhibition hall are relatively rich. The exhibits range from ancient Chinese aviation inventions and discoveries to contemporary high-altitude and high-speed fighter jets. From foreign aircraft introduced in modern times to various types of domestic aircraft, they are displayed on both sides of the large exhibition hall in chronological order. There are the primary trainer-5 aircraft that ended the history of China’s inability to build aircraft, and the Chinese self-developed fighter jet – J-12, etc. , all of which are eye-opening. The aviation museum not only has displays of aircraft but also popular live ammunition shooting and flight simulation games, but both require additional fees. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Sunday and on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day throughout the year; it is closed all day on Monday.China Aviation Museum
