The Cloisonné Art Museum is located in the courtyard of Beijing Enamel Factory Co., Ltd. It was completed in 2012 and is the first cloisonné museum in China. The museum’s collections are mainly enamelware imitating the production styles of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. At the same time, some classic works, works of old artisans and representative works of masters since the establishment of the company are on display.
Entering the museum is like entering a bizarre world. There are high imitation Qin Shihuang’s bronze chariots and horses with the unique luster of cloisonné, mahogany cloisonné ruyi, various stationery, incense burners and cranes beside the emperor’s throne, etc. The museum is equipped with a skill display and interaction area of more than 1,000 square meters and two cloisonné boutique sales halls of more than 1,000 square meters. Its historical data exhibition room covers collections such as master manuscripts, drawings, books and periodicals, autographs, pictures, prizes, physical objects and original tools. Visitors can see the essence of cloisonné production skills in the museum and enjoy on-site skill demonstrations by masters, senior technicians and inheritors.
