The China Freshwater Fish Museum in Huzhou is located within Changdao Park and is the first specialized exhibition hall in Huzhou City themed around freshwater fish. It offers a comprehensive understanding of freshwater fish and their relationship with Huzhou and its people.
The museum is primarily divided into indoor and outdoor sections. The indoor exhibition is further categorized into the origin and evolution of fish, fish and humans, Huzhou’s fish culture, fish classification, the world of freshwater fish, freshwater fish resources, and the utilization and protection of fish resources.
The outdoor section includes a fish viewing pond and an underwater observation passage, where visitors can have close contact with fish after viewing images and specimens. This enhances their understanding of the written information and provides a more direct insight into various living fish species.
Opening hours: 9:00 – 17:00 all year round.
