The China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum is located in the center of Qionghai Tanmen Fishing Port, featuring a modern aesthetic style combined with Chinese cultural elements, symbolizing ‘Silk Road Waves, Boat of the South China Sea’. The museum houses over 70,000 pieces of collections, including historical foreign trade artifacts, South China Sea biological specimens, Hainan historical relics, and models of ships through the ages, primarily showcasing the human history, natural ecology, cultural heritage protection of the South China Sea, as well as China’s economic and trade exchanges and cultural interactions with neighboring countries of the South China Sea.
