The China Hangzhou Cuisine Museum is located in the Jiangyangfan original ecological park next to the major site of the imperial city of the Southern Song Dynasty. It is south of the Qiantang River, north of Lianhuafeng Peak, west of Hupao, and east of Yuhuang Mountain and Bagua Field. The museum is adjacent to the West Lake, and is connected with the Qiantang River scenery. The surrounding air is fresh and is known as a natural oxygen bar.
The building area of the Hangzhou Cuisine Museum is about 13,000 square meters, with exhibition areas, experience areas and business areas. The architecture is mainly in the style of the Southern Song Dynasty, highlighting the characteristics of Hangzhou gardens. Designed by Cui Kai, vice president of the China Architecture Design Institute, the building complex forms a semicircle from west to east according to the mountain terrain. The whole is green and transparent, exquisitely shaped, and blends in with the environment of the original ecological park. The exhibition design of the museum is handled by Zhao Rongguang, director of the Chinese Institute of Food Studies of Zhejiang Gongshang University. There are ten exhibition areas, scene restorations of twenty historical events, a large number of text, picture and historical materials, and ancient, modern and contemporary cultural relics on display, sorting out the texture and context of the inheritance and development of Hangzhou cuisine from different historical stages such as Liangzhu culture and the period from Qin Dynasty to Southern and Northern Dynasties.Opening hours: Open from 10:00 to 17:30 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year; closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
