The China International Design Museum is located at No. 352 Xiangshan Road, Xiangshan Campus, China Academy of Art, Xihu District, Hangzhou City, designed by Pritzker Prize winner and Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, covering a total area of 16,800 square meters.
The museum opened on April 8, 2018, in Hangzhou. It is dedicated to the research and display of modern and contemporary design works, and aims to inspire local manufacturing creativity.
Opening hours are Tuesdays from 09:30-11:30 and 13:00-16:30, with an additional evening session from 18:00-20:00; Wednesdays from 09:30-11:30 and 13:00-16:30; and closed all day on Mondays, Thursdays to Sundays, as well as on national holidays and during winter and summer vacations.
