The China Knife, Scissors and Sword Museum is located in the Qiaoxi historical and cultural block of the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The museum building is renovated from the Qiaoxi local specialty warehouse. From the perspective of cultural heritage and in a thematic way, it interprets the unique culture of knives, scissors and swords: ‘A tool with one sharp edge is a knife, one with two sharp edges is a sword, and when two knives intersect, it is scissors.’ The permanent exhibitions are jointly composed of two exhibition halls: ‘Knives and Swords’ and ‘The Story of Scissors’. Here, we can understand the Chinese imprint of a ‘world of swords and spears’. It should be known that China’s cold weapon era is very worthy of in-depth study. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 16:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays to Sundays throughout the year; closed all day on Tuesdays throughout the year.
