Located near Mawei Port, the China Shipbuilding Culture Scenic Area is a theme park primarily focused on shipbuilding culture. The Mawei Shipyard, a modern shipyard at the time, was one of the largest docks in the Far East during its operation from 1866 to 1907. During this period, 40 ships of various sizes were built, making Fuzhou Shipbuilding famous worldwide and marking a significant chapter in modern Chinese history.
The scenic spots within the area are distributed along the Min River and within a 1-kilometer radius of Mawei Port, including Luoxing Pagoda Park, Malan Hill Park, and the Majiang Sea Battle Memorial Hall, all of which can be visited on foot and are free of charge. The surrounding environment is pleasant, making it an ideal place for leisure strolls and learning about the history of Fuzhou Shipbuilding.
