China Textbook Museum

The China Textbook Museum is a venue with a large collection of textbooks. ‘Small textbooks, great wisdom’ is the soul of the museum. From the establishment of the Tungwen College in 1862 to today’s multimedia classrooms, the museum showcases the century-long history of textbooks through 10 sections such as establishing new schools, attending schools, the rear area, new China, good people’s communes, mathematics, physics and chemistry, learning from workers and peasants, talking about college entrance examinations, new century, and new textbooks, presented in the form of scene reproduction.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday all year round, open from 09:00 to 16:30; closed all day on Monday all year round; open from 09:00 to 16:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
