The China Women’s Children’s Museum is a specialized museum themed around women and children. It adds a new educational platform to the cause of women and children in China with its unique exhibition content, grand construction scale, and comprehensive functional facilities, enriching the museum landscape with a beautiful and unique addition.
The museum covers an area of approximately 35,000 square meters and houses over 30,000 cultural relics. The exhibitions are divided into two major themes: women and children, with six basic displays and five special exhibitions. These exhibitions reflect the living conditions, status changes, cultural customs, outstanding figures, and social contributions of Chinese women and children across various historical periods from different perspectives, forming a comprehensive picture of women’s and children’s social and family life spanning five thousand years, covering various fields such as economy, politics, military, culture, education, science and technology, health, and sports. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00 throughout the year; the museum is closed all day on Mondays; and on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, the museum is open from 09:00 to 17:00. Service facilities include luggage storage, stroller rental (strollers are prepared for infants), wheelchair rental (wheelchairs are prepared for the disabled), and restrooms.
