China’s Grand Bamboo Sea, also known as Anji Grand Bamboo Sea, gained immense fame after being featured in Ang Lee’s movie ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’. As you enter the scenic area and stroll along the Bamboo Sea Corridor, you are enveloped by towering, lush bamboo forests that line the path, offering a refreshing mountain air that seems to invigorate the spirit.
Beyond the Bamboo Sea Corridor, you’ll find the Five Maidens Spring, whose waters are sourced from the underground springs of the Grand Bamboo Sea. This water is unique, being warm in winter and cool in summer, continuously flowing with a sweet taste that adds an air of enchantment to the area.
Further into the scenic area lies the filming platform for ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’. A stone tablet inscribed with the four characters ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ marks the spot where visitors can capture a photo. If you’ve seen the movie, this place allows you to reminisce about the exhilarating fight scenes between Yu Jiaolong and Li Mu Bai, as they seemingly defied gravity, flying through the bamboo forests and standing atop swaying bamboo branches over the sea of green.
Additionally, there is an intriguing attraction nearby called ‘Bamboo Sea King Exploration’. In the heart of the dense bamboo forest, you can discover the special new Bamboo King, which stands out for its sturdiness, yellow hue, and a certain regal presence among the other bamboos. Ascending from here leads to the Bamboo Viewing Tower, the highest point in the scenic area. From this vantage point, you can take in the expansive bamboo forests, which, when stirred by the wind, undulate like emerald waves.Scenic Area Operating Hours and Ticket Policies
