The Zhonghua Daughters Art Museum, located at the former fishing and commercial dock in Xiamen’s Shapowei, is divided into five major areas: Chinese Porcelain Painting, Modern Ink Painting, Figure Sculpture Exhibition, and Modern Art Exhibition. This museum, bearing the cultural imprint of Xiamen’s fishermen, is a privately-run, large-scale, professional art museum that regularly hosts various exhibitions.
The Chinese Porcelain Painting area showcases the development of Chinese porcelain painting art since modern times. Many exhibits are not only exquisitely crafted but also carry distinct characteristics of their era.

The area dedicated to the impressions of Gulangyu by three generations of Chinese oil painters features exquisite oil paintings spanning from 1927 to the present. Many of these paintings are created by masters, vividly recreating the enchanting scenery of Gulangyu.

The Modern Ink Painting area is one of the most charming sections of the museum, collecting a vast array of modern artists’ ink paintings, each with superb techniques.

The Figure Sculpture Exhibition area is filled with exquisite sculptures that are lifelike in form and spirit, with smooth lines that give a vivid impression.

The Modern Art Exhibition area displays works by contemporary artist Fu Xinmin, including freehand ink paintings and lifelike sculptures, allowing visitors to fully understand the master’s artistic style.

In addition to oil paintings and sculptures, the museum also features some thought-provoking installation art with strong visual impact and emotional resonance, making it a niche photography hotspot.

Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00 all year round; closed all day on Mondays, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
