The Chongqing China Virtue Park takes Chinese virtues as the theme and Chinese virtue maxims as the carrier. Through expression forms such as natural stone carvings, inscriptions, calligraphy, paintings, and sculptures, with Chinese virtue maxims such as etiquette, integrity, patriotism, dedication, and unremitting self-improvement as the main line, it reflects the organic combination of park culture and ecology, integrating maxim content and garden landscape, highlighting the profoundness and cultural inheritance of Chinese virtues.
Chongqing China Virtue Park is China’s first themed park with ‘virtue’ as the theme. Based on the original ecological forest landscape, the park takes ‘traditional virtues’, ‘civilized etiquette’, ‘patriotic spirit’, and ‘propriety, righteousness, integrity, and shame’ as the main contents. Combined with the original terrain features of the park, artistic techniques are used. With ‘one center, two main lines, five major zones, and three major characteristics’ as the main line, it constitutes the landscape framework of the park’s first phase. The park divides traditional virtues into five parts: benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trust. According to categories, they are distributed in a ‘pin’ shape in the park’s five major areas. From top to bottom, there are five major areas: ‘benevolence and wisdom area, loyalty and trust area, integrity and shame area, filial piety and fraternal respect area, and propriety and righteousness area’. Each area is prefaced according to its own content to make the expressed content easy to understand. And in the partitions, different stone carvings, bas-reliefs, and stone formations are made according to the location, stone, and situation to display stories and famous sayings of Chinese virtues. The park is open all year round and all day long.
