St. Love Church of Christianity in Chongqing, originally known as ‘Social Hall’, is located next to ‘Jiefangbei’ in the center of Yuzhong District, Chongqing. During the Anti-Japanese War, there were often religious festival activities and anti-Japanese activities jointly held by various churches in Chongqing. Famous social figures such as Feng Yuxiang, Tao Xingzhi, Zhang Zhijiang, Song Chengzhi, John R. Moot (general secretary of the World YMCA), James Gareth Endicott (a Canadian peace advocate), etc. have given academic and anti-Japanese speeches in this church many times. Since its opening, more than 4,000 believers have been baptized, and more than 1,500 people often attend gatherings. Now there are two Sunday worship services every week, as well as activities such as choir, Bible study class, scripture reading class, and youth fellowship.
