The Chongqing Crocodile Center tourist attraction is located at No. 106, Baoshi Road, Yubei District, 8 kilometers away from the city center, covering an area of over 33,000 square meters with a total investment of more than 50 million yuan. The park is shaded by green trees, filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers, with winding paths and a well-coordinated layout.
The park mainly consists of the Crocodile Lake Area, Amphibian and Reptile Pavilion, Asian Giant Crocodile Pavilion, Nile Crocodile Pavilion, Animal Performance Field, Monkey Pavilion, Bird Forest, Forest Python Pavilion, Gibbon Pavilion, Marmoset Pavilion, Giant Turtle Pond, Tropical Fish Pavilion, Squirrel Monkey Island, Red Panda Island, Animal Science Popularization Area, Rest Garden, Swan Pond, Suspended Monkey Pavilion, Australian Kangaroo Pavilion, Tropical Small Monkey Pavilion, Australian Emu Pavilion, Raccoon Pavilion, and the Crocodile Prince Hotel as well as the Wild Animal Baby Paradise.
The animal display is ecological and visually unobstructed; the park also conducts interactive activities such as bird feeding and crocodile fishing, which are full of fun, excitement, and distinctive features.In addition to the very rare amphibians and reptiles such as the Chinese Alligator, Bay Crocodile, Siamese Crocodile, Yaoshan Crocodile Lizard, Giant Lizard, Giant Turtle, Giant Python, and various venomous snakes, the park also exhibits supporting animals such as Squirrel Monkeys, Cotton-eared Marmosets, Black-capped Capuchins, Pig-tailed Macaques, Bear Macaques, Tree Shrews, Kangaroos, Gibbons, Red Pandas, Emus, Macaws, Sun Conures, and Raccoons, totaling over a hundred species and more than a thousand individuals. Particularly, the park’s four major treasures include the century-old Chinese Alligator, a 90-year-old giant fish, a hundred-pound giant python, and a thousand-pound crocodile couple, which are very rare and highly观赏able.
The Chongqing Crocodile Center tourist attraction is also one of the important places for wildlife translocation protection. Through the unremitting efforts of scientific researchers, in recent years, it has successfully bred national key protected animals such as the Chinese Alligator, White-cheeked Gibbon, Yaoshan Crocodile Lizard, Kangaroo, Black-capped Capuchin, and Python. It has been featured and reported by major news media such as CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, and Chongqing TV, receiving high praise from all sectors of society.
