The Chongqing Industrial Museum is located in Dadukou District, Chongqing City. It is built on the basis of some industrial remains of the original steel plant of Chongqing Iron and Steel Company. It is composed of the main exhibition hall, the ‘Steel Soul’ hall, and the industrial heritage park and other indoor and outdoor public space industrial exhibits displayed in installation style. The main exhibition hall utilizes the columns and beams left over from the old factory building and adopts a steel structure system, becoming the main carrier of the pan-museum. The exhibition hall focuses on the development process of Chongqing’s industry for more than 120 years since modern times, comprehensively displaying the revitalization of national industry after Chongqing opened its ports to the outside world, as well as the great contributions made by Chongqing’s industry to China’s Anti-Japanese War, the recovery of the national economy, the urbanization process of Chongqing, and China’s industrialization process.
Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 17:00; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
