One of the first batch of anti-Japanese war sites and a cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese invaders bombed the wartime capital Chongqing and its surrounding cities for six years and ten months. On June 5, 1941, the continuous bombing by the Japanese army caused a large number of innocent citizens in the Dachang Tunnel at Jiaochangkou to suffocate and die.
This is known as the ‘June 5th’ Dachang Tunnel suffocation massacre. The exhibition hall is a protective restoration of the cultural relic site. It comprehensively uses modern new technologies and new technical means to reproduce the original historical appearance to commemorate the compatriots who died in the bombing, especially in the June 5th tunnel massacre, and inspire future generations to overcome all difficulties and obstacles and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At the same time, it is also a powerful witness to major historical events such as the Chinese nation’s Anti-Japanese War and the world’s anti-fascist war.Opening hours: Open from 10:00 to 18:00 all year round; open from 10:00 to 18:30 on National Day.
