Established in 1951 under the care of the older generation of party and national leaders, Chongqing Sichuan Opera House was inscribed by Guo Moruo. It is a traditional Chinese opera troupe with a long history. Historically, it has been home to many outstanding Sichuan opera performers such as Zhang Decheng, Zhou Mulian, and Zhou Yuxiang. In the 1950s, the troupe achieved great success and gained fame by performing in Europe as part of the Chinese Sichuan Opera Troupe.
