The Chongqing Jialing River Bridge, also known as the Niujiaoduo Jialing River Bridge, is situated between Shangqing Temple in Yuzhong District and Huaxin Street in Jiangbei District. It is the first urban bridge in the city of Chongqing, which commenced construction in December 1958 and was completed in January 1966.
The completion and inauguration of the Niujiaoduo Jialing River Bridge took eight years, during which the people of Chongqing overcame numerous challenges, including the withdrawal of Soviet experts and the hardships of three years of natural disasters, to successfully build this significant bridge.
