Chuncao Hall in Xiamen, Fujian

Chuncao Hall was built in 1933 and was personally designed by Xu Chuncao. It is built along the cliff. Its appearance is quite similar to a Western-style building, but in fact, it is a modern Chinese residence.
What makes Chuncao Hall different from other villas on Gulangyu Island is that it selects the unique granite in southern Fujian as the wall foundation, wall columns and corridor columns. Especially, the rough surface of the granite is intentionally retained and (jointed) with clear water red bricks. At a glance, it not only has a natural, rough and thick feeling, but also the natural color beauty of southern Fujian architecture.

The location of this building is uniquely designed. The viewing angle is wide, and you can open the window to enjoy the sea view and watch the sunset glow.

The opening hours are subject to the opening conditions on the day.
