Circle Berry Eco-Tourism Park, nestled within the Ke Lao Mountain Provincial Scenic Area in Cixi City’s Minghe-Shanglin Lake Scenic Area, offers a retreat into nature’s embrace. Surrounded by towering green mountains, bamboo groves, tea gardens, and hills adorned with red bayberries, the park is a haven for those seeking to reconnect with the natural world.
The park specializes in the cultivation of the Biqi variety of bayberries, which are renowned for their large size, small cores, and exquisite taste. These bayberries have long been considered the finest among their kind. Given that bayberries grow on mountainous terrain and the summer heat, visitors are advised to carry fewer snacks and plenty of water, along with sun protection items such as hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
When it comes to picking bayberries, it is important to do so one by one to avoid damaging the tree and affecting its growth in the subsequent year. These berries are not just a delightful treat but also offer numerous health benefits, including refreshing the palate, aiding digestion, warming the stomach, quenching thirst, relieving cough, and stimulating appetite. Freshly picked bayberries can be consumed directly, without the need for washing or soaking.
The park operates year-round from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
