The branch of the Civil Aviation Museum established outside the capital was opened recently at the GTC transportation hub center of Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. This is an innovative measure of Qingdao International Airport Group. Based on the concept of ‘pleasing those nearby and attracting those from afar’, aiming at building a humanistic airport, serving the society and passengers, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the terminal building into a cultural, business and tourism complex, and creating a new cultural and tourism consumption cluster area.
The Qingdao Airport Branch of the Civil Aviation Museum covers an area of about 1200 square meters. Centering on spreading civil aviation culture, popularizing civil aviation knowledge, and creating a comprehensive experience of culture, tourism and commerce, it integrates experience, leisure, digitalization, interest and technology to create a modern humanistic landscape. It is equipped with the only C919 large aircraft model and aircraft driving experience cabin in domestic airport terminals, as well as rich contents such as exhibitions of aviation historical pictures and physical objects and cultural and creative stores. It can provide cultural and tourism experience services for domestic and foreign tourists, and can also receive research and study activities for primary and secondary schools, aviation popular science and industry exchange activities.Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 17:00; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
