The Command Center of Dongfang Spaceport is located at the offshore launch home port in Haiyang City, Shandong Province. The overall project covers an area of more than 130 mu. The single building has an area of about 20,000 square meters, and the indoor tour area is about 13,000 square meters. The main building is based on the prototype of a phoenix spreading its wings. There are six exhibition areas in the venue and more than 60 interactive model exhibition items.
It has the most cutting-edge display equipment and unique aerospace courses for different school ages. It has become an aerospace science popularization experience base integrating ‘launch viewing ceremony, aerospace science popularization, and research and learning experience’. The exhibition hall is designed with an immersive aerospace tour route. Through interactive exhibition items, it depicts a near-future Dongfang Spaceport, inheriting the aerospace spirit, paying tribute to aerospace achievements, and looking forward to the aerospace future.Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, from 09:30 to 17:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 09:30 to 17:30 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day.
Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1 meter (excluding) in height (accompanied by adults) are free. Elderly: People over 70 years old (including) are free. Active-duty soldiers and firefighters: Free with valid certificates. Disabled veterans: Free with valid certificates.
Supplementary note: All personnel who meet the free ticket policy need to bring valid certificates to the front desk of the science popularization hall to exchange tickets.
