Congtai Park is located in Congtai District, Handan City, and is built based on the historically renowned Zhao State Congtai. It serves as an ideal place for local residents to relax and entertain. The park features ancient architecture, lakes, pavilions, and lush trees, offering a beautiful environment that is also excellent for photography.
The Congtai within the park was reconstructed on the original site during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and holds significant historical importance. It was the place where kings watched song and dance performances and military drills, and it is also the site where King Wu Ling of Zhao initiated the ‘Hu Fu Qi She’ reform. Today, the three-story high Congtai offers a panoramic view of the city’s buildings, Zhao Garden, and the distant Taihang Mountains.
In addition to taking photos and climbing ancient buildings within the park, there is also a small animal area where visitors can observe pandas, tigers, and other animals, making it an ideal destination for families with children. The park is open from 05:30 to 21:00 all year round; however, from 05:00 to 22:00, the specific business status is subject to the park’s daily opening conditions.
