Huangguashan is located in the south of Yongchuan District, Chongqing City (in the direction of Luzhou City, Sichuan Province). It is named after resembling a cucumber. The altitude is about 600 meters. The forest coverage on the mountain is 80%. There are tens of thousands of mu of state-owned forest farms. It is known as a national forest park and is one of the national agricultural ecological tourism demonstration sites.
The annual average temperature on the mountain is 2-3 degrees lower than that in Yongchuan urban area or at the foot of the mountain and 4-5 degrees lower than that in the main urban area of Chongqing. Huangguashan has a majestic mountain shape and unique landforms, giving birth to a series of natural scenic areas with unique, dangerous, beautiful, and secluded characteristics such as Baiyancao, Xiangbizui, Tatigou, and Hutoushan, fully demonstrating the great power and magical creation of nature. Tourists can visit scenic spots such as a large 60,000-mu pear orchard, a thousand-mu peach blossom mountain, tea gardens, blueberry gardens, and grapevine gardens. They can also observe natural landscapes such as Xiangbizui, Jigongzui, Eighty Ladders, Baiyancao, Hutoushan, Tatigou water mortars, and Chuanyandong. Or they can go to the hunting ground and Yezhulin Villa to experience hunting, taste rural local dishes at farmers’ homes, or go to Taohuayuan for vacation and health preservation. Perhaps the most interesting thing is to pick blueberries, strawberries, grapes, pears, watermelons, lotus roots and other fruits and vegetables by hand.
