Cukeng Village is famous for its beautiful Huangmanzhai Waterfall. The village was built in 1804 and has a history of more than 200 years. The architectural style of the village not only presents a majestic, solemn and serious palace-style layout, but also incorporates the architectural characteristics of Chaoshan’s ‘four-point gold’ and ‘descending tiger’. It also inherits the tradition of Hakka enclosed houses and cleverly uses the elegant style of Suzhou gardens. The characteristic buildings include ‘a string of seven gatehouses’, ‘three walls in a row’, and ‘Leshanchu’. Open all year round and open all day.
