Da Chen Village is located 10 kilometers northwest of Jiangshan City, at the site of the Da Chen township government. With a history of 600 years, this place was praised by the renowned modern historian, connoisseur, calligrapher, and jurist Yu Shaosong (Yueyuan) as a place where ‘ten miles of surrounding mountains are all pine trees, and there should be no second garden in the world.’ Historically, it was famous for commerce and education; in recent years, it has become well-known for promoting traditional culture and as the birthplace of Chinese village songs. In November 2017, Da Chen Village was awarded the title of the fifth National Civilized Village. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
