Dongfushan Island is brimming with a fisherman’s charm. Dark green fishing nets hang in front of every door. The houses of each household are constructed from the island’s native stones, forming a world of stone houses, stone walls, and stone paths.
Perhaps to prevent the strong winds from blowing away the roof tiles, rows of stones are placed on top of the tiles. These special seaside stone houses, built to withstand typhoons, have now become a distinctive attraction. The stone houses have helped fishermen survive one typhoon season after another, and also bring amazement and admiration to visitors.
The opening hours are all year round, open all day.
