Dabei Mountain is located in the eastern part of Shengsi Island, offering a panoramic view of the Ji Lake and Nanchang Beach from its peak. It is an ideal spot for island visitors seeking elevated scenic experiences.

The Lingyin Zen Temple, nestled at the foot of the mountain, is a must-visit for tourists and pilgrims alike. The scenic overlook at the summit and the Lingyin Temple below are separate ticketed attractions, with the term ‘Dabei Mountain Scenic Area’ referring specifically to the peak’s viewing platform.

It takes about half an hour to stroll from the entrance to the summit, where visitors can enjoy an expansive view of the sea and several artillery site ruins surrounding the area. Along the ascent, one will pass by a small Marine Culture Exhibition Hall displaying local fishermen’s paintings, worth a 10-minute visit.

The Lingyin Temple at the base of the mountain is quite sizable, with its architecture built into the mountain, creating a sense of depth and dimension. During Buddhist festivals, many locals come to burn incense, worship, and count the Arhats, making it a lively place.

Opening hours are from 07:30 to 17:30 all year round.
