Dagu River Museum

The Dagu River Museum is located on the west bank of the Dagu River and on the east side of Shaohai North Road. The land area is about 5,000 square meters. It includes six exhibition halls: natural resources exhibition hall, river history and legend exhibition hall, major industry exhibition hall, folk handicrafts exhibition hall, traditional folk art exhibition hall, and modern art exhibition hall.


The natural resources exhibition hall mainly shows the actual situation of the Dagu River Basin (Jiaozhou section) in terms of current situation, wetland distribution, migratory bird species, and population. The river history and legend exhibition hall focuses on the geographical location, topography and moving legends of the Dagu River Basin. The major industry exhibition hall showcases the overview of the agricultural industry along the Dagu River and the current production status of agriculture and industry along the line.


In addition, the folk handicrafts exhibition hall mainly displays folk arts such as paper cutting, paper buckets, octagonal drums, and black pottery of villagers along the line and some related industrial exhibits. The traditional folk art exhibition hall and modern art exhibition hall display traditional arts such as Jiaozhou Yangko and Jiaozhou Maoxiang and celebrity works. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 16:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year.


Tips: 1. Visitors must obtain tickets with valid documents before entering the museum for a visit. 2. For group reservations for explanations, please call the museum two days in advance to make an appointment. 3. Tour groups should make an appointment two days in advance.
