The Dahanxiong Scenic Area in Mangdang Mountain, Yongcheng is located at the junction of Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Shandong provinces. It is known as the east gate of Henan Province and is known as ‘the gateway to eastern Henan’. With its unique cultural resources, superior geographical location and charming natural scenery, the scenic area is attracting people from all walks of life to come for sightseeing and touring.
The scenic area is planned with Han culture as the theme, aiming to build the scenic area into a composite scenic area integrating health preservation culture, tourism, leisure vacation and outdoor sports. The main peak of the scenic area is 156.8 meters above sea level. The statue of ‘Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty’, as the landmark building of the scenic area, is located on the main peak. The statue is 39.9 meters high and is known as ‘the tallest bronze statue of historical figures in Asia’. In addition to the towering statue of Liu Bang on the top of the mountain, there are also the mountain stronghold ‘Zhang Fei Village’ where the hero Zhang Fei of the Three Kingdoms stationed troops. On the south slope, there are the ruins of the Temple of Emperor Gaozu. The ruins of the ‘Three-star Taoist Temple’ where Fan Rui, Xiang Chong and Li Gun, three of the 108 heroes in Water Margin, gathered together and the ruins of Han Dynasty ritual architecture are also gathered here.Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
