When it comes to the Great Wall, everyone knows it. The Great Wall is famous for its ‘size’. The smaller existing ‘ancient city’ in China is Dahao Ancient City. Measured by the general unit for measuring area, it is truly pitiful. It is only 0.014 square kilometers, which is about the size of one and a half stadiums. Dahao Ancient City is located in Dahao District on the south side of Shantou City. It is a well-preserved miniature ancient city in the country. It was built in 1717 (the 56th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty). It is now a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit.
It is open all year round and all day.
