Dahua Xing Temple is located on the ‘Lotus Seat of Avalokitesvara’ mountain in the eastern part of Shenzhen’s Overseas Chinese Town. The temple is grand in scale and exudes an ancient charm. The most striking feature is the four-faced Guanyin golden statue at the summit, known as the ‘Avalokitesvara Lotus Seat Statue’. Climbing to the top offers a panoramic view of the landscapes of Yunhai Valley, Chaxi Valley, and the Grand Canyon. The temple adopts the architectural style of ancient academies from the Tang and Song dynasties, including the majestic Mahavira Hall, the Wuliang Cloud Ladder that dispels all worries, the solemn and beautiful ‘Avalokitesvara Lotus Seat Statue’ and the Wei Tuo Holy Statue, all rich in religious cultural connotations. The Avalokitesvara Lotus Seat Statue is composed of the ‘Holy Avalokitesvara’ on the south, ‘Child-Sending Avalokitesvara’ on the north, ‘Lotus Hand Bodhisattva’ on the west, and ‘World-Respected Avalokitesvara’ on the east, all solemn and magnificent, rich and splendid. For vegetarian meals, one can visit the Xiangji Zhai; for an overnight stay, the菩提宾舍 within the scenic area is a convenient choice. Opening hours and specific business status are subject to the day’s opening conditions.
