The Dahuangshan Scenic Area combines natural landscapes, cultural landscapes and a natural oxygen bar. At the same time, it integrates Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. It is a famous religious holy place in eastern Liaoning. It is a rare tourist mountain located in the city in China and the back garden of Dalian. It is also a popular mountaineering tourism classic route in coastal cities. The average altitude of Dahuangshan is 400 meters, and the main peak is 663.1 meters above sea level. It is a mountain range in the shape of a ‘mountain’. It is connected to the Changbai Mountains and Qianshan Mountains in the north and faces the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea in the south. It is named after the light black color of most of the rocks. The natural scenery of Dahuangshan is beautiful, with crisscrossing mountains and numerous stone peaks. The peaks are majestic and the valleys are secluded. The caves are mysterious, the waters are wonderful, the rocks are steep, the clouds are deep, and the trees are luxuriant. Waterfalls and brooks are dotted everywhere. Checkerboard jointing (mahjong stone), heavenly soldiers and generals, kite mouth, dripping pot, fairy platform and self-sacrificing cliff are dotted among them. The mountain is in the city and the city is built against the mountain. Standing on the top of the peak and looking east, you can see the rising sun of the Yellow Sea shining brightly. The new district with rapid changes can be seen at a glance. Looking west, you can see the afterglow of the sunset over the Bohai Sea. The ancient city with vicissitudes of wind and rain can be seen in full view. Looking into the distance, four bays are reflected in the curtain (Jinzhou Bay, Dayaowan Bay, Xiaoyaowan Bay and Dalian Bay). The waves seem to surge under your feet and the white clouds seem to roll in your hands, making your heart suddenly open. The beautiful sceneries of cool summer at Xiangquan Spring, snow at dawn in Chaoyang and flying clouds at Nange Pavilion are charming. The sunset at Heishan Mountain is one of the eight famous sceneries in Dalian. The scenic spots in Dahuangshan include Guanmenzhai, Shigu Temple, Tangwang Palace Taoist Temple, Chaoyang Temple, Xiangshui Temple and Guanyin Pavilion.
