Dai Xian Waterfall: A Majestic Natural Wonder in Quanzhou, Fujian

Dai Xian Waterfall is situated at Chi Shi Kou, Shuimou Village, Bangshang Village, Shuikou Town, Dehua County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. The creek plummets 139 meters straight down from the gap in the mountain peak. Standing beneath the waterfall, one can witness the torrential flow and the misty rainbows formed by the water vapor, creating an ethereal atmosphere that makes you feel the embrace of the mountain mists.
Originating from the Chi Shi Stream at Shi Niu Mountain, the waterfall passes through the majestic Fei Xian peak with a drop of 139 meters, cascading down in two branches. The eastern branch is known as Dai Xian Waterfall, while the western branch is called You Lou Waterfall. Together, they create a spectacular and magnificent view.


Dai Xian Waterfall is one of the larger waterfalls in Fujian Province and is listed among the ‘Top 18 Sights of Quanzhou’. It is open from April 1st to October 31st, from 08:00 to 18:00; and from November 1st to March 31st, from 08:30 to 17:00.
