Daiyun Mountain, also known as Yingxue Mountain, stands at an elevation of 1856 meters. It is renowned for its majestic and perilous terrain, often referred to as the ‘Ridge of Central Fujian.’ As the second-highest peak in Fujian Province, it gazes into the distance towards Ali Mountain in Taiwan. The main peak of the Daiyun Mountain Range, it is located in Chaishui Town, Daiyun Village, Dehua County, Quanzhou City, Fujian.
Daiyun Mountain is a natural green treasure trove, nurturing 580 species of vascular plants across 393 genera and 145 families. The Daiyun Mountain Nature Reserve, established in 1985, is one of the earlier nature reserves in Fujian Province. With a forest coverage rate of 93.4%, it primarily protects the typical mountain forest ecosystems along the southeast coast. The reserve focuses on the conservation of the southernmost, largest, and best-preserved Huangshan pine forests on the Chinese mainland’s southeast coast. It is also an important site for insect and plant type specimens, orchid plant resources, and rich biodiversity, including endangered flora and fauna.

Please note that the area is not open to the public. Essential tips for visiting Daiyun Mountain include being well-prepared for outdoor mountaineering as it remains undeveloped.
