Daliang Town’s Huagai Road, spanning 635 meters in length, has suffered from a severe lack of basic supporting facilities due to its long-standing construction period, with most buildings along the sides having become dangerous structures. In order to revive the historical charm of the ancient streets of Fengcheng, the Shunde Municipal Government began the renovation of Huagai Road in April 1998, converting it into a tourist cultural pedestrian street. Huagai Road Pedestrian Street is the only commercial pedestrian street in Daliang, characterized by its Lingnan architectural style. The street is flanked by buildings with the characteristics of Lingnan Western architecture from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, with a predominant color scheme of pink, green, and blue. The colorful arcades and the renowned Minxin Double Skin Milk Shop are notable features of the street. Free sightseeing trams are available on the pedestrian street for visitors to ride. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
