Daling Mountain National Forest Park

Daling Mountain National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Dongguan City, surrounded by lush forests and beautiful lake and mountain scenery. The main peak, Chashan Peak, stands at an elevation of 530.1 meters. Climbing to the top allows one to overlook the undulating mountains and enjoy the unique sight of reservoirs encircling the hills like jade belts. Inside the forest park, there is a golden statue of Maitreya Buddha, with temples scattered around, making it an ideal place for sincere prayers.


The entire scenic area is quite large and is divided into six major scenic spots. The Shi Dong Scenic Area is the main area within the park, nestled against the mountains and waters, with a tranquil environment. The Chashan Peak is located within this scenic area, and there are several hiking trails available. The scenic spot Huihu Reservoir is also within the area, and a 7-kilometer long greenway around the lake has been built, allowing visitors to cycle and appreciate the magnificent scenery of mountains and waters, and the lush greenery.


Opening hours: From October 26th to March 31st, open Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 17:30; closed all day on Mondays. Important tips: The scenic area has four main entrances: Humen Entrance, Houjie Entrance, Daling Mountain Entrance, and Chang’an Entrance.
