Dalun Mountain is located 1 kilometer east of Tong’an City. Due to the rolling terrain of the mountain, stretching for several kilometers, running from Yingcheng Mountain, it looks like rolling wheels, hence the name. It is Tong’an’s first mountain leisure park, mainly featuring charming natural scenery. The pedestrian path connects scenic spots such as Fantian Temple, Brahman Pagoda, the mountain gate of Dalun Mountain, and Wengong Academy.
The “Eight Scenes of Dalun Mountain” used to be well-known. Poets and literati of past dynasties left countless poems, calligraphy works and cliff inscriptions when they climbed the mountain to enjoy the scenery. However, due to the vicissitudes of life, together with some historical or man-made reasons, among the eight scenes, only the shadow of Dongxi Pagoda, the bell of Fantian Temple, and the fallen stone of Zhan Pavilion still maintain their original appearance. Only the returning sails of Xunhai and the fragrance of lotus in the green pond are somewhat similar in scenery. While the overlapping green peaks of Dalun, the moonlight in the secluded rock, and the flowing holy spring no longer exist.
