Dameisha Seaside Park is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, on the coast of the South China Sea. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, there is an open beach stretching 1800 meters in the middle. The park presents a vibrant subtropical seaside scenery. Both Shenzhen citizens and tourists from other places like to come here to enjoy seaside leisure time. The center of the park is the Sun Square and the Moon Square, connected by a ‘Sunshine Corridor’. Inside the corridor, there are polished stone benches for tourists to rest. There are always many couples coming here for a walk and a date. Dameisha Seaside Park is divided into swimming area, sports area, leisure area, entertainment area, barbecue site and other parts. There are amusement items such as motorboats, beach buggies and bungee jumping for selection. Meeting with family and friends to come here for a gathering, watching the sea, swimming in the sea or playing water sports are all very interesting. If you want to swim in the sea, the park can provide cold and hot water showers and bag storage services. It should be particularly noted that when swimming, please do not go beyond the shark prevention net. Pay attention to safety. The park provides 24-hour voluntary lifesaving service within the shark prevention net. Accommodation and food around the park are also relatively convenient. From high-end restaurants to roadside stalls, and from ordinary hotels to five-star hotels can all be found. The characteristic dishes are seafood and pigeons. In addition, Dameisha is often overcrowded. If you don’t like crowds, you can choose to walk on the plank road by the beach. This side is relatively quiet. Listening to the sea and enjoying the breeze is also quite pleasant. Walking about two kilometers east along the coastline is Xiaomeisha. Xiaomeisha charges fees but there are fewer tourists and the environment is better. Next to Xiaomeisha is Xiaomeisha Ocean World. If you are interested, you can visit it together.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 07:00 to 22:00.
Must-see tips:
1. It is recommended to go at off-peak times on holidays.
2. If a red flag is hung in the park, it is a signal that the swimming area is closed. Tourists are prohibited from swimming in the sea at this time. If a yellow flag is hung, it is a signal that the swimming area is half closed. Those with average swimming skills should not go into the sea.
3. The barbecue site is only open in summer. Having a barbecue party by the sea with friends is a great experience.
4. When playing, please remember to take away the garbage and keep the beach clean.
