Danshuikeng Scenic Area is an emerging tourist destination in Guangzhou, complementing the Whampoa Military Academy and the Nanhai Temple (Boluo Temple), integrating famous sights, sports and entertainment, conferences, and leisure vacations. The area features attractions such as the Buddha’s Trace Cave, the Buddha’s Drumming Stone, Danshui Immortal Source, Danshui Longquan, General Yang’s Temple, and the Laughing Sky Paradise (Joyful Barrel, Water-crossing Bridge, Plum Blossom Stakes, Canyon Adventure, etc.), with religious culture renowned both domestically and internationally.
The Danshuikeng Scenic Area is planned to be divided into six functional areas: Tonggu Mountain Scenic Area, Leisure Vacation Area, Danshui Lake Scenic Area, Sports Activity Center Area, Commercial Service Area, and Entertainment Activity Area. Among them, General Yang’s Temple is designated as a cultural relic protection unit by the Guangzhou Cultural Bureau, making it an auspicious place for the development and growth of the tourist area. The area is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
