In the Ming Dynasty, it was established as ‘Dapeng Guarding Thousand Households Fortress’ to resist Japanese pirates. For short, it is called ‘Dapeng Fortress’. It is a coastal defense military fortress for resisting Japanese pirates and preventing theft along the southeast coast of China in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has a history of more than 600 years of resisting foreign aggression. At the same time, it is also one of the well-preserved Ming and Qing coastal defense fortresses in China.
2. Xichong is one of the eight major coastlines in China. Xichong Beach is located in Xichong Community in the south of Nan’ao, Dapeng Peninsula. 3. Jiaochangwei is a village with a coastline in Dapeng New District, Shenzhen, Guangdong. As the name suggests, Jiaochangwei was originally a place for officers and soldiers of the fortress to practice on the sand field. Jiaochangwei has unique conditions. To the north are historical elements such as Dapeng Fortress and Dongshan Temple, the ‘birthplace of Pengcheng’. To the south are natural landscapes such as Yangmeikeng and Luzui Mountain Villa.
