Daroya Scenic Area is located in the middle reaches of the Xiao Nanxi River, covering a total area of 85 square kilometers. The scenic area is characterized by its flying waterfalls, peculiar peaks, secluded caves, beautiful waters, and mythical legends.
Within the scenic area, there are numerous waterfalls with a variety of forms; strange peaks and rocks, full of interest. Taogong Cave is praised by Taoists as the “Twelfth Blessed Land under Heaven”; the cave is deep and spacious, with a large entrance leading to a vast interior, where the Southern Dynasty’s “Prime Minister of the Mountains,” Tao Hongjing, once secluded himself to write the book “True Decree”; Bai Zhang Waterfall wins with its grand momentum and high drop; Tengxi Waterfall and Pool is naturally formed, known for its exquisite beauty; Jiu Ji Waterfall stands out with its many falls and rhythmic charm; Yaxia Storehouse is hidden and not easily seen, “heard but not seen,” making it fascinating; Shi Er Peak has peaks jostling each other, rugged and towering, surpassing other peak landscapes.
The main attractions include: Taogong Cave, Jiu Ji Stone Gate Platform, Bai Zhang Waterfall, Yaxia Storehouse, Shi Er Peak, Tengxi Waterfall Group, Daitou Ancient Village, Gao Xu Village, Zui Xi, Zhongxin Pit, Xiao Ruo Yan Group, Furong Three Cliffs, Phoenix Stockade, Xiao Nanxi, and the beach forest along the river.
Zui Xi: Located in the northeast corner of Shuiyun Village. Along the stream, there are strange rocks and peculiar peaks, secluded caves, ancient pines, and hanging waterfalls, which are dazzling to the eyes. This group of attractions includes: Qilin Rock, Qilin Spring, Sanlian Waterfall, Wansui Pit, Triangle Waterfall, and Jiaolong Spraying Water, among others.
Xiao Nanxi Beach Forest: The stream water is mostly about 1 meter deep, with a few pools several meters deep, the stream water is clear and crystal-like jade. Drifting on a raft in the jade-like stream, the water is green, the sky is blue, and the water and sky blend into one, with white clouds in the sky reflected at the bottom of the water, making the raft seem to be passing through the clouds and flying in the sky. The dense beach forest on both banks provides shade. On the shore, there are green willows, bamboos, Chinese tallow trees, maple trees, white thatch, and red flowers, forming an intoxicating picture.
