Introduction: At the peak, there are towering ancient trees. There are many scenic spots such as Tianjian Pool, Tiaolong Cave, Xianhe Rock, and the ruins of Shengzhen Temple. The peak is several hundred feet high and is shaped like a huge gauze hat, commonly known as Shamao Rock. The south wall is vertically cracked, about one foot wide. Originally, there were overlapping wooden ladders and foothold holes on the rock wall for climbing. Now, new reinforced concrete handrails and steps have been built. It dominates the north side of the mouth of Jiuqu Creek and is the first peak to enter Jiuqu Creek. Dawang Peak is 530 meters above sea level. It is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, with majestic momentum. From a distance, it looks like a giant pillar supporting the sky. Among the thirty-six peaks in Wuyi Mountain, it has always been known as the ‘king of fairy valleys’. Around Dawang Peak are precipitous cliffs. Only a narrow passage on the south wall can be used to reach the top of the peak. This is a straight up and down crack, only about one foot wide. Stone steps are carved in the middle and can be climbed by circling up step by step. The higher the crack, the narrower it becomes. In some places, climbers need to turn sideways and contract their abdomens and use both hands and feet to pass. Xu Xiake of the Ming Dynasty called it one of the three dangerous paths in Wuyi. There is Zhangxian Rock at the waist of the peak. According to legend, it is the place where Zhang Gai of the Han Dynasty achieved immortality. There is Tianjian Pool. The pool water is extremely clear and will not dry up even in droughts. The spring flowing above the pool is called ‘Hanbi Spring’. On the side of the pool is the place where Lin Wenneng, a scholar in the Song Dynasty, built his hut. From here, going up one more flight of stairs is the former site of Shengzhen Temple. From the left side of the temple, going up step by step is the Tongtian Terrace. After climbing dozens of steps further, one reaches the top of Dawang Peak.
