Daxi Village is located at the southern end of Tianhuangping Town and borders Lin’an. The village has a total area of 23.4 square kilometers. It governs 11 villager groups and has a population of 2,100. It has 30,099 mu of forest land, and the forest coverage rate reaches 92%. The environment is beautiful, the mountains and rivers are magnificent, and the folk customs are simple. There is the Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Station; the waterfall group in the south of the Yangtze River, the ‘Hiding Dragon Hundred Waterfalls’ scenic area; and the ‘Jiulong Gorge – White Tea Valley’ scenic area where the ‘ancestor of white tea’ in China is located.
