Daxiong Temple in Liangzhu, Hangzhou, was originally established during the Eastern Han Dynasty and was demolished in 1958 due to the construction of the ‘Liangzhu Commune Exhibition Hall.’ The temple was reconstructed in October 1999 through the fundraising efforts of the nun Miaole Zen Master and the first phase of construction was implemented in April 2000.

The temple has been built according to its original design with three main sections: the Hall of the Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, and the Hall of the Three Saints, along with auxiliary rooms and other facilities, which have now been completed.

Buildings such as the Hall of the Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Hall of the Three Stars, the Hall of Guanyin, the bell tower, the abbot’s courtyard, the refectory, and the room for Buddhist instruments have already been established, and the scale has begun to take shape.

There was originally a unique magnolia tree with two-colored flowers beside the temple, and at the foot of the mountain, there is a release pond with tailless snails that can be touched by hand. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
