The Dayan Mountain scenic area covers an area of 300 hectares. The main peak has an altitude of 310 meters. It and Xiqiao Mountain in Nanhai are called’sister mountains’. The combination of mountains and water, undulating peaks, competing strange rocks, lush forests, gurgling brooks, and rushing springs, together with temples, pavilions, and countless scenic spots. Dayan Mountain is undergoing beautification and renovation of ‘one axis and four sections’. The one axis is the ‘tourism axis’. The four sections are the’religious historical and cultural section’, ‘happy growth experience section’, ‘ecological forest park section’, and ‘outdoor sports expansion section’. From the foot of the mountain to the peak, there are scenic spots such as the square in front of the temple, Dayan Mountain Gate, Banshan Pavilion, Haihui Temple, Lion Peak, Dayan Mountain Pinghu Lake, tourist service center, Riyue Peak, Haiyuan Cave, wishing tree, Lu You Pavilion, Jiyuan Tower, Zhuangyuan Square, barbecue village, Mucuna birdwoodiana, Qinggu Pool, Guiren Peak, etc. The scenery is picturesque. From the top, you can see six cities and counties (namely Heshan, Gaoming, Xinhui, Zhongshan, Shunde, and Nanhai), and enjoy the idyllic scenery of the Pearl River Delta. Dayan Mountain is close to the Xijiang River and is named because its mountain shape is similar to a wild goose spreading its wings.
