Dayu Mountain Island is located in the southeast sea area of Fuding and is a relatively large archipelago in eastern Fujian. Among many islands in China, it is actually not very famous. Dayu Mountain Island is composed of scenic spots such as Dayu Mountain Island and Xiaoyu Mountain Island. Xiaoyu Mountain Island is an uninhabited island. Traveling is mainly by renting cars and walking. Due to being eroded and weathered by seawater along the coast, bedrock is exposed, reefs stand in great numbers, and marine erosion landforms are very prominent. The houses on the small island are mottled and old, full of a sense of age. The island is rich in granite, high-quality mineral springs and grassland resources. You can freely run on the ten-thousand-mu grassland of Tianhu Mountain in the Tianshan Mountains of the south. It is as if you are in the grasslands of the northwest with ‘the sky is vast, the wild is boundless, and when the wind blows, the grass bends low and cattle and sheep appear’. ‘National Geographic of China’ once gave it a very high evaluation: ‘Located in the southeast, it has the scenery of alpine meadows in the northwest; being on an island, there are also clear Tianhu Lakes like mirrors’. In addition, on the top of Dayu Mountain, there are the large and small Tianhu Lakes with great mysterious colors. It is said that each of the two lakes has a spring, which is perennial and inexhaustible. The water quality is sweet and clear to the bottom. The vegetation on the island is very dense, and thousands of migratory birds inhabit it. When they suddenly take off, it is very spectacular. There are also many cultural relics and historic sites on the island. You can go and pay respects to the Ambassador Palace, Mazu Palace and Tianfu Temple with piety. Spending a lazy weekend taking pictures and enjoying the sea breeze on such an island with low popularity but pleasant scenery is a good choice.
